Ghost Adventures on Travel Channel @ Hale's Bar Dam & Marina
The Ghost Adventures team heads to Guild, Tennessee to investigate the Hales Bar Marina, which was built on the Tennessee River. Upon their arrival, they are met by Tennessee locals and are told the back-story of the haunted marina. Back in the 18th century, settlers were taking land that originally belonged to the Cherokee tribe, and the tribe's leader put a curse on the land in retaliation. Chief Dragging Canoe vowed to turn the land dark and bloody if anyone decided to settle down there. Shortly thereafter, the settlers built the Hales Bar Dam on the Tennessee River. Many immigrant workers were killed during the construction of the dam. Several decades later, an entire town that was built next to the Dam became flooded and now resides under the river. In this particular town was a graveyard full of children, who were buried after a flu epidemic killed most of them. To this day, the people who work at the Marina can hear the sounds of children's laughter at night. Before beginning their lockdown, Zak, Nick, and Aaron get caught in a tornado that destroys some of the nearby docks along the Tennessee River. They begin to ask themselves whether this is a coincidence, or if this is part of the Cherokee curse. The next day, they interview other paranormal investigators, who've previously explored the Hales Bar Marina. The paranormal groups thoroughly describe their experiences inside the Marina. A few of the investigators said to have experienced scratches on their arms, choking around their necks, and a burning sensation on their chests. Also, they confirmed hearing the sounds of children during their investigations as well. At the start of the lockdown, Zak instructs Aaron to provoke the spirit of Chief Dragging Canoe, hoping to record some audio evidence with the EVP. Aaron goes deeper into the Marina and ends up at the whirlpool, which is naturally created by the currents of the Tennessee River. It is here that Aaron experiences a physical encounter with an unseen force. During Aaron's paranormal brush, Zak collects visual evidence with his thermal imaging camera. Next, the team ventures upstairs, where the feeling of a presence overwhelms Zak as it moves through his body. Finally, they conclude their investigation by returning to the whirlpool in hopes of collecting more audio findings.
